HSB is a Seattle-based Psychadelic Alternative Rock band formed in 2001 by Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist, William Bartel, & Bassist, Steve Marchetti. Shortly after recording their demo in 2001, HSB was joined by Guitarist, Mark Stein, and drummer, Nick Thomas (formerly of Lloyd's Rocket). The bands first, full length, self-produced CD, titled "Greatest Hits: Volume I", was released in 2003, and has received airplay on Jolene's Loud & Local radio program (KISW 99.9 FM). In 2010, HSB was featured on Hot Rocks TV, a local public access television program. The program included a live in-studio interview with the band as well as music videos created by Hot Rocks TV from their live performance at Club Motor in 2010. In 2010, HSB received an award from Hot Rocks TV for "Best Synchronicity". This award was intended to honor the band for their ability to gracefully assemble unique song elements that would not typically be used together. HSB's sound has been likened to artists such as Clutch, Corrosion of Conformity, Helmet, Tool, and The Melvins. Their unique blend of psychadelic hard rock and social/political lyrical content is intended to bring back the protest song of the 60's with a more modern, contemporary, approach. HSB's second full-length CD, titled "Super Hits", is set to be released in early 2012. Former members include: Nick Thomas - Drums, Bryant Porter - Guitar, Troy Hewitt - Guitar & Backing Vocals
