It all started at MCTC. Grant Hoglund, AKA "The White Raptor", and Bryan Peterson were attending the same chemistry course in the S Building at Minneapolis Community Technical College. Quickly becoming friends, Bryan learned that Grant (a resident of Fridley), was once childhood friends with one Raymond Van Lith, a former schoolmate of Bryan's. Grant informed Bryan that he had a sweet back yard on the Mississippi, and that they could totally have fires until whenever and not have to worry about neighbors or ordinances. Around the same time Bruno, Bryan's best friend, started hanging out with Raymond, a high-school friend of his, again. Bryan, Raymond, and Bruno all jammed-the-heck-out one day and had a blast. Shortly after, due to the awesomeness of Grant's all-hours bonfires, Raymond and Bryan became good friends.

Over the next year...or something... Raymond and Bryan got drunk alot and jammed. One night, Justin Formico, a former bandmate of Ray's, came by and totally copped one of Bryan's riffs into a song called "Generation of Hope". The song was kind of okay, but the prospect of being in a band again got Ray and Justin all hot and bothered. Soon thereafter (or maybe before?) Ray moved his drumset into Bryan's basement and they got really drunk all the time and jammed until 2-ish. After jamming with many different configurations, Ray wound up on Bass, Justin on drums, and Bryan on guitar. Bryan showed Justin a demo one day and he was all "You should sing now". So now Bryan does most of the singing.
In 2013(? or something?) long-time friend of the band, Dillin O'Dell replaced Ray on bass. This gave Ray a chance to stretch his phalanges and play lead guitar. Lazy Panda was now up to TEN TIMES more AWESOME! In late 2013, Lazy Panda made it to the Grand Finals of Rawkzilla's Battle of The Bands (yes, this was kind of a big deal sort-of-thing). They failed to place in the top three, but definitely won the crowd's favor with a thrilling performance ending in a blistering din of raucous applause and screams. Having an album perpetually in the works, and looking toward the future, the possibility of a fifth member is looming. Stay tuned kids!
