Alex Brown is a Singer/Songwriter, Producer, Director, Engineer, Mixer, and many more. As a kid, Alex loved music. His dad was in a band, and there were musical instruments always around his house. He started playing piano at age 13, and decided to start a band. His love for music continued to grow through his first band called “OCD”, and he started teaching himself how to play drums, guitar, and bass. Interested in sharing his music with his friends and family, he learned how to record his own music in Garageband and immediately loved it. Alex started to record his own covers of popular songs such as “Radioactive” and “We Are Never Getting Back Together”. These videos started getting his name out into the music world. Alex started to realize how much he enjoyed recording these covers, and he looked into colleges that could maybe start him in a career of recording. After searching through many schools throughout Minneapolis, he finally came across a school called Minneapolis Media Institute. They were offering classes for free through high school, so the next day Alex went and enrolled. He recently graduated from Minneapolis Media Institute in August with his two year degree in Audio Engineering, and his Pro Tools Masters certificate. Being only 18 years old, Alex is the youngest student to ever graduate from Minneapolis Media Institute. Graduating from college at the same time as high school. Throughout his time at MMI, he has worked with many bands and learned how to completely run a recording studio, producing nearly 100 bands by the time he graduated. At the same time, Alex worked at North Springs Church as head of the music department, running the live sound board, practicing with the band, and working with live video. From all of this practice throughout the years Alex decided to put all of this practice to the test. He released his first single and music video for his song “Let Go” on August 1st 2013. Writing, producing, playing, mixing, mastering, and directing the entire video completely by himself. It instantly went viral and took off his career with his own music. Gaining attention from fans all over Minneapolis, and rising to top ten on the local charts on Itunes and Reverbnation. He has announced that his new album will be released very soon to the very excited public.
