Headed by young 18 year old rockabilly wildfire, Sonyta, this band hit the ground running, impressing all who heard them with their wonderfully versatile sound.
Sonyta’s powerful & versatile voice means they can morph from a classic 50’s rockabilly sound into a more contemporary neo-rockabilly sound with ease, making them a ideal choice for many events
They already have quite a impressive playing history, having played many private parties, and also played all over Victoria including:
Johns Rod & Custom Picnic
Bairnsdale Motor Expo
Hot Rod & Rockabilly Rumble
Yarra Valley Hot Rod Rumble
Rockin for the Kids Good Friday appeal
Bright Rockabilly 'RIO' Festival 2012
They have also played the prestigeous Greazefest in August last year, for which they received rave reviews!
They also appeared at Camperdown Cruise last year with some of Australia's best Rockabilly bands!
They were invited over to Adelaide for a highly successful tour early this year, and have already been invited back!
Giving in to fans requests, Sonyta and the Incinerators released their debut album, with much excitement in August 2011, receiving much praise for their efforts.
‘Bayin & Howlin’ is a testament to the versatility of this band, with 12 tracks, including the retro sounding ‘My boy Elvis’ a Janis martin cover that has that 50’s rockabilly sound to it, to ‘Frenzy’ which has a more neo sound, to their original, the title track written by drummer Dave Rogers, which has a heavier edge to it. There is something for everyone on this album! The sales have been so good that they are already planning their next offering!
They are currently writing more songs, and are heavily influenced by Canadian band 'The Creepshow'.
