Moth began as a two man experiment in early 2011 as a collaboration of Benton McKibben and David O'Berry. The production began as a home studio project and evolved into recording the debut full length album "Endlessly in Motion" mixed and mastered by Dave Otero (Flatline Audio). Since the release of the album Moth has received overwhelming response both locally, national and abroad.
Since the release the of "Endlessly in Motion" Moth has been hand picked as direct live support for bands such as Fear Factory, Soulfly, After The Burial, Devil Driver and Trivium. With each show Moth is building to a level of national level musical entertainment.
It has been difficult to permanently attach a certain genre or sub-genre as the creators and writers involved are of such vast listening and influential expanse. The sound created is interpreted differently by individual listeners. Influences range anywhere from classical composers to technical death metal. Electronic ambient to progressive rock.
The word of Moth is quickly starting to circulate around the metal community and the band is building a base to stand on to continue their advance towards the exploration of different sounds, feelings, and ideas of life.
