2009 Charlotte Music Awards - Best R&B Artists Award Winners
The duo of Greg Cagle and Rick Nash first got their start back in the ‘60s, playing in bands near their hometown in North Carolina, most notably in the band Sugarcreek. Fast forward to the ‘80s and the duo reunited to begin composing and recording songs. Rick and Greg worked together on and off until 2008, when they officially united to form the duo Cagle & Nash. In 2009 they released their debut album Soul Complete, which was received well by both radio and press. O’s Place Jazz Newsletter even named the record one of the Best Albums of 2009. They quickly followed that up with a Holiday single release "Celebrate The Holidays". Not long after followed "Loungviity" their second full CD release came along with that year also producing a Greg Cagle Country Rock CD called "Next To Nowhere" and the ecclectic Matt Cagle/Greg Cagle (aka Needy Peeple) CD titled "Interplanetary Seas". In 2013 the Springer & Cagle CD "The Acoustic Project" came along to feature the talented Robyn Springer on five Cagle/Nash penned tunes as well as 5 stunning covers.
Fast forward to 2013 and you'll find Cagle & Nash at work on two projects. The Best of Cagle & Nash: Volume 1 features 14 tracks from four releases and is available as a digital package only complete with high quality downloads and a specially designed Best of Cagle and Nash booklet. Not far behind that are some brand new Soulful new tunes to be released in the fall.
