MB Padfield is an acoustic pop/rock - singer/songwriter from Manchester, NH.
After completing her high school education by 8th grade, she began attending college at the age of 14. This non-traditional educational path enabled MB to pursue her passions for music. She has studied vocal, piano, guitar, some violin as well as her favorite instrument, the ukulele.
Also at this time, MB discovered songwriting to compliment her lifelong musical abilities. Her songwriting style has been described as visionary, evolved and sophisticated beyond her years, pleasantly surprising her audiences everywhere. MB’s composition style bridges the gap from the emotions of life’s experiences into a restless creative energy and finally to a quiet resolve of a well written song.
MB’s musical influences not only include the singer-songwriter styles of John Mayer, Colby Callait and Christina Perri but also others such as Eminem, Machine Gun Kelly, Judy Garland, Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra.
MB was a featured performer at the Tupelo Music Hall in Londonderry, NH in September 2011. There was no doubt that this young old soul could hold her own on stage and confidently captivate an audience singing her original songs.
Shortly thereafter, also in September 2011, MB”s original song Silly Boy was played on 92.5 The River in Boston MA. She was also highlighted on a radio segment featuring her as a new local artist.
In June of 2012 MB released Hey You! EP recorded at Rocking Horse Studios in Pittsfield, NH. The songs on this album reflect her multi-genre musical abilities. Greg Hawkes, from The Cars, is featured on ukulele.
MB Padfield is working hard at making her mark around New England and beyond. Her potpourri of impressive spirited talents is head and shoulders above her peers. She is well on her way to an exciting musical journey!
