Formed in the spring of 2011,The Gloryholes became the first only stricty all gay punk rock in Memphis.Founded by local memphis rock singer Rod Henson and punkrock frontman Brandon little, the band started out as a twp piece outfit called the Dipshits. They later recruited Adam Richards, also a former punk frontman. With the intention of creating a"queer punk"group they named this line-up "THE GLORYHOLES".Filledwith raunchy lyrics and crude humor, the boys churned out song after song of what many have come to call punk rock gold. Before long, they played their debute performance with little rehearsal time and by the summer of 2011 had become the next big thing in the Memphis underground punk rock scene. No longer known by their real names,Tri-pod Rod(Henson)Harry Manhole(Little),and Gacey Slater(Richards)released their first EP of the full length "Like Us On Facebook"including anthems such as"Gloria Ho",a song about a transexual superhero, and "sheena Likes Girls"a spin off of the Ramones classic. Now after a successful year of performing all over memphis and also at a couple gay pride events,THE GLORYHOLES are ready to take their unique brand of fun loving ,equal rights supporting, and sometimes dirty punk rock to a town near you
