Hailing from the City of Boston, MA is a female rapper that goes by the name of “Chey Lanay”. Her style is unique; her music brings listeners to different aspects of life, from hot club bangers to that heat for the streets. Being around music all of her life, Chey Lanay started rapping at age seven with a goal to pave her way to the top as one of hip hop’s greatest female emcees. She was inspired by music from her uncle “Fly Ty” of Joint Venture, who released an album titled “It’z Da Joint” on Profile Records in 1993. Sadly he passed in 1994, and that’s where Chey Lanay comes in to re-light the torch. Chey Lanay is a great lyricist, song writer and entrepreneur, selling her music independently through her own website CheyLanay.Com and Itunes. Through her production company “Hungry For More”, Chey Lanay wrote and produced her music video for her single "Picture That." Chey Lanay has been featured in magazines such as WWS Magazine, Queen Hype Magazine, Coast 2 Coast and Hip Hop Weekly. Chey Lanay has performed at venues from Boston Ma to Miami Fl. She performed at 2Racks Rap Contest in Atlanta, GA. There she became the first female to win the competition out of 70+ shows. Chey Lanay also took first place at the Coast 2 Coast (Pre-Convention) in Miami, FL. She was invited back to Miami to perform as a special guest at the Coast 2 Coast Industry Mixer there she rocked the crowd at Sobe Live as well as The House Of Blues in Boston MA. Promoting her first mixtape that has recently been released "Hungry For More" without a doubt, Chey Lanay has what it takes to be amongst the best in the music biz.
