Frozen in time in 1984, Neon Kross has emerged from the cold chill of space to infect the masses with dark and "dancey" new wave music. The Los Angeles based group makes melodic synth rock songs that are catchy, romantic, creepy and fun. Fronted by Daniel deLeon of the band, Rezurex and Deep Eynde fame, they have developed a strong fan base in the Los Angeles area and world wide in the short period of time they have been playing out. The band was created as a side project of Daniel and McCoy (Pins and Needles from Los Angeles) who had collaborated previously in the recording studio. The popularity of the band quickly grew in the familiar haunts of the underground local dark wave clubs. The band has since expanded beyond their goth roots with the addition of Chinatsu, a classically trained keyboardist from Japan and with Jake (Pins and Needles) on drums. Neon Kross is now polished and ready for a more broad based audience. Demo songs created in the home studio of Daniel and McCoy have recently been featured in an independent film, "A Number's Game", for which they created the title track of the same name.
Look out for the long awaited release of the demo album, "Not Human" on Live Dead Records. This will be available June 13th, 2011. Neon Kross is currently in the studio recording a full length album to be released this fall. Currently the band ventures out to Europe to do their very first tour in June 2011.
Neon Kross is not a contemporary spin on the music of the 1980's or a trendy 80's inspired band. The are the 80's incarnate, champions of music that some have forgotten but everyone still loves.
