Kurt Wynne / Bio

Bringing a little flavor to country music, I like to write and sing about life in general, the funny moments the hard ones and even about the people we miss and have lost along the way!
I was raised in a small town outside of Poplar Bluff, Missouri called Silva, no kidding it has a population of 100 and to this day they still don’t have cable TV. About the only thing we had to do for entertainment was load up our instruments and head to somebodies house on a saturday night to play music.
I got my first guitar when I was 14 and I started playing with my dad and learning to play bluegrass music.
Since there was no opportunity in my small town I got out and joined the Army when I was 19. Afterwards I transferred to the U.S. Coast Guard when I was 23 and am still on active duty but I've always kept my trusty Martin Guitar close at hand. I have 2 kids a boy and a girl and they are both the light of my life…Lord help me! I am also married to a wonderful Alabama girl and devoted Auburn fan, WAR EAGLE!!!...

Moving from place to place has provided alot of opportunities to play guitar and perfom alot of different types of music from zydeco jazz country soul etc etc. I do consider country to be the foundation though and Alabama to be my home.
I have played at many songwriters showcases playing for Maxwell Russell up in Muscle Shoals and various areas around, played along side with Shane Wilson, Steve Howell, Rosedale, and Maxwell. I have also been awarded the great experience or writng backing music for some commercial ads and evenI acting in a few commercials and movies for a company in Georgia. All in all I think I have good stage presence and I love to get the crowd goin and I just love to play... period!

I like to think that my music moves people. I love to share the joys of the people around and what happiness my life has brought me! I think people influence my songwriting! From my family, friends in the military to my wife and kids to my Lord and Savior, they all give me inspiration to write great lyrics and I really don't think I could write anything if it didn't come from some true life experience or feeling. Yes I have those I just hide them well LOL.
