The Truck Farmers / Bio

The Truck Farmers play Hardcore Hillbilly music, twangy and true. We aim to keep alive the sounds and songs that made country music great.

Our repertoire includes classic country songs, as well as original numbers by singer Charles Walston, who started the Vidalias in Atlanta and the Bourbon Dynasty in the DC area. Those bands released three records that received a good bit of radio play and nice reviews.

Other members of the group are Chris Banks, electric guitar; Mike Duffey, pedal steel; "Slim" Guterman, drums; Katy June-Friesen, vocals; and Daniel Pollak/Bob Burleson, bass.

We're all veterans of numerous musical projects, and along the way we have all learned an important truth about country music: It wasn't broke, so quit trying to fix it!
