EVERYTHING WILL CHANGE IN 2015
Prayers welcomed. There's a family of 6 behind what I'm about to do and they need a steady father and husband as we will be propelled to the unknown doors opening for me in the music industry. I am finally ready. Its in my Spirit and I want to leave nothing behind and hold fast to the strongest anchor in my life next to my God...... family!
David started playing the piano at about age 4. Being a huge Liberace fan, David's grandmother told his parents that Liberace would be performing on the Johnny Carson show in the upcoming week. David confesses that he was more excited about staying up on a school night than he was to be seeing this master pianist and showman. But when he did he was entranced; focusing tightly on the fingers that were playing all of this amazing sound from one piano. "I never could figure out what his fingers were doing because his rings got in the way!"
David plays piano completely "by ear" and does not read music. He was writing his own music and performing in talent competitions by age 10. After dropping out of music College because of his lack of reading skills, David ventured on his own playing for local piano lounges, country clubs, and restaurants. He also started successfully teaching other students how to play by ear.
This caught the attention of an independent record label named Mesa Wind Music. Owner Daniel Kilgore and producer John Charles Mertz worked with David to produce his first fully orchestrated and original album entitled " Victory " in 1997. By the iFall of that same year BILLBOARD magazine, a national music industry publication wrote a story about David's record breaking sales out of Northeast Ohio and Cleveland.
This encouraged two more albums by 2002 and brought David to tour throughout the United States and overseas in England. Current standing invitations also include Ireland & Russia, along with the Victory Junction Camp.
Between David's own sales and those of his original record deal, nearly 75,000 CDs found their way into the hands of piano enthusiast everywhere!
Although his ambition for the piano became a driving force in his life, he still found love with his wife of 20 years. April and David met at Kent State University and got married 9 months later. They have 4 wonderful boys starting with the twins Joshua and Cohle who are now 15 and driving! Brenden is 13 and his younger brother Aron is at age 10.
Great ambition and favor has propelled David to connect with the TBN network, Grand Ol' Opery, and the Victory Junction camp of the Richard Petty Family. (They live 5 miles away)
"I believe I will have the opportunity to touch millions of people with piano music that has never been experienced; because It's not just what you hear-it's what you'll feel. "
