Hailing from Doncaster UK. Carla May, sang almost from the moment she could talk, and it seemed for certain that ‘the girl who loved to sing’ would grow up to fulfil her destiny.
As her singing developed people began to take notice. She would enter various singing competitions where, when she didn’t win, she was invariably a finalist.
In time she out grew them and turned her head to developing her singing career.
She found she had a talent for writing; and what a talent. Deeply personal songs that tell of loss and intense emotional pain, but told in a way the listener can instantly relate. She has a story to tell, and it’s one worth hearing.
She recorded the songs for an e.p (to be released this year) and began performing them live, along with various, select covers. Her incredible voice, her intense and heartfelt delivery often has the audience in the palm of her hand. She looks shyly back at the crowd, as if unaware what it is she has done to cause this level of adoration.
So it is that 2016 has her working on completing her e.p, writing, and performing and, with collaborations with the cream of Doncaster's talent in the pipe line, maybe it’s time you checked out this talented young woman, if you have the chance, go see her live.
She promises the moon, delivers it gift wrapped.
