Hello and welcome to the House Party Massacre!
HPM started off as a cover band, covering classic songs by the likes of bands and artists such as Metallica, Deep Purple, Undertones, Chuck Berry, ect… They practiced and Practiced, found that as a band they all clicked and had a good sound and aura. HPM think of their music as very accessible and appealing to anyone, not only people who listen to Rock as the songs cant really be pinned down by only one genre.
In mid May 2010 House Party Massacre played their first gig at Hendon’s Church House with acoustic musician ‘Matt Smithies’ and very talented band ‘The Effect’. HPM actually headlined that show (as they were the loudest band there), the gig finished with a massive response from the audience, most of whom stood up and were amazed by the guys' love for performance and their Stage Presence.
Since May, HPM have played a ridiculous amount of shows all over London, cracking out around 3-4 gigs a month. Some venues include Tommy Flynn’s (Camden), The Miller Bar (London Bridge), 229 Venue (Euston), Purple Turtle (Camden) and finally The Zenith Bar (Islington), where they've developed a friendship and residency with the owner and return to play the Zenith Bar every now and again. Covers House Party Massacre have played at these wonderful venues include: Good Riddance (Time of your life) – Green Day, Smells Like Teen Spirit – Nirvana, Girls and Boys – Good Charlotte, In Bloom – Nirvana, Beat on the Brat – The Ramones and there will be many more to come as pleasing the crowd plays a big part at HPM shows.
As for what the future holds, the band cant wait to get out there furthermore and start releasing more of the music they love and play. Hopefully this band will see bigger and bigger shows/fans.
