Chris Roberts / Bio

Chris Roberts is one of the truest talents in music today. His voice is flawless, his songwriting is profound and honest, and his demeanor on stage is comforting and relatable, making all who see him perform stop and take notice. A Montana native, Roberts carved a niche for himself in New York before landing in Nashville, TN where he is currently writing and recording songs for his upcoming solo project. While in New York, Roberts appeared on Broadway in several productions including The Civil War with Larry Gatlin. During this production, Gatlin became a mentor to Roberts, further encouraging him to relocate to Nashville to pursue his recording career. Shortly after, through the help of Gatlin and Grammy award-winning songwriter Marcus Hummon (God Bless the Broken Road, Born To Fly, Cowboy Take Me Away), the vocal trio One Flew South was formed with Roberts, Eddie Bush and Royal Reed. The trio, who’s harmonies have been praised in the music industry as unparalleled, were signed to a record deal with Decca/Universal Records and publishing deal with Sony/ATV. Their debut album, Last of the Good Guys, was released in 2008, and the single, My Kind of Beautiful, gained success climbing the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. The record featured songs co-written by Roberts, along with the band, Hummon and the legendary J.D. Souther (Eagles, Linda Ronstadt). The band toured in support of the album and had the honor to share the stage with artists such as Willie Nelson, Jimmy Buffet,Dave Mathews and Neil Young. In addition to performing, Chris Roberts is a respected songwriter in the Nashville community, and is quickly becoming a sought after producer for many acts in country music. His voice is classic, effortless, inspiring and one that will be heard for years to come.
