Mo Jones began playing bass at the age of 11. He started recording in studios at the age of 12 with the band Acid Static Drought. Mo then joined the band Surreal in 1990 and laid down the bass for the debut album "Earth Passages of the Illuminated". Surreal won Best New Band of the Year from Z Rock in 1992. In 1993 Mo moved on from Surreal and formed the band Liquid Eclipse. Liquid Eclipses first album debuted in 1995 and it was called "Only Love Remains". This was the first album that Mo Jones wrote, engineered, produced and mixed the songs. "Only Love Remains" was the top selling album in Rad Rockers catalogue for a time. It was also during this time that Mo Jones won a Hot Licks Contest competing against other guitar players. He was the only one playing a bass guitar in the contest. After Liquid Eclipse broke up Mo joined the band Omega Force lead by close friend Tom Rae. Mo laid down the grooves for Omega Force on the debut album "Nu Mission". After several albums and many live shows Mo decided to take a break and regroup. During this time Mo started writing songs for solo bass. Upgrading from a six string bass to a seven string bass Mo took on this challenge and came out with his first solo album called Mo Jones "Bass" in 2009. Mo has started working on a new project called Mo Jones Bassin. This album is due out in April of 2011.
