Vibe Zoo's original music represents a fusion of Alterative, Indie, Classic Rock, and Jazz influences. The 'zoo' style is a fresh combination of Harrison's driving and intricate vibes with Jack's chill style, Codie's powerful bass work, and Brandon's driving and complex percussion. They are influenced by artists like as The Black Keys, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters, Arcade Fire, Frank Zappa, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn.
While the band comes from different musical backgrounds and styles there was instant chemistry the minute they began playing together. Ever ambitious (if not backwards), Harrison and Jack decided to start the band, booked a battle of the bands in Fort Worth under the name Vibe Zoo, recruited Chris Duggins (the original bass player), and went on a search for a drummer. They found Brandon playing in like ninety bands for the local rock school and signed him up. They rehearsed twice and won. Vibe Zoo was born. They’ve been writing, performing, and pleasing crowds in the DFW area ever since.
Harrison with his signature red Jaguar is an engaging frontman who has performed on stages in the DFW area for the last six years. With classic rock, blues, jazz, and folk influences he performs with firey riffs, intricate rythms, and powerful vocals to channel his multiple influences and delivers a unique style all his own.
Jack is a master of catchy hooks and the ultimate chill style. He's brings a hip-hop influence to the zoo. The creative chemistry and guitar play with Harrison really amps the vibe..
Brandon’s got the chops and the look. Beyond the hair, he has incredible power and feeling in his percussion combined with a sense of humor and playfulness that really compliments the band. Once he takes his shirt off for the show… it’s all over.
Codie, the band’s newest member, is an animal on bass. A veteran of several DFW bands, he is a formidable presence musically and physically. Every band needs a Viking looking 6’3” red-head with dreads. When he cuts free from the constraints of the set list while Jack is tuning he sets the show on fire.
