The Hippie Monks / Bio

The Hippie Monks are an exciting blend of classic soul, pop, funk and rock that has audiences up on their feet and dancing within the first few moments of hearing their music.
Brought together by a chance meeting at a recording studio in Spain, the four musicians felt an immediate bond. Everybody at the studio sensed the enormity of the occasion as Edu's soulful voice blended perfectly with Paul's, while Paul's unique style of keyboard playing and Mani's rocking guitar complemented Pere's 70's style drum grooves.
The Hippie Monks were born!
Their first demo was well received and gained much acclaim on both radio and TV in Spain as well as in the UK, and placed them winners and finalists in numerous national and regional 'Best New Band' competitions.
During one of these competitions they met American producer Matthew Dela Pola who was on the judging panel. He knew that this was a new and fresh groovey sound, with undeniable charm and character, so he invited the "Monks" to his studio to record a demo.
Since that time The Hippie Monks have packed the dance floors of every venue they have played, receiving rave reviews not only for their music, but also for their travelling circus style show.
Ready to share their great vibes with a hip new CD, comic strip, video game and TV show under way, they are not to be missed. So, be sure to catch The Hippie Monks at a venue or festival near you!

Peace, Love and Paella!
