Mountain Feist is a groove oriented and high energy progressive bluegrass band, inspired by traditional bluegrass and shaped by music from around the world. The band plays a fast paced, interactive show supported by tight four part harmonies, instrumental features and an eclectic repertoire of original music as well as fresh covered material.
Justin Eisenman - (Guitar and Vocals) A mid-western born picker raised on Prairie-grass, he's been a regular on the acoustic music festival circuit through most of the last 10 years. He has performed with more than fifty bands across more than a dozen states, doing festivals, productions, studio work, venues and showcases. Justin is also an active songwriter, whose influences include Doc Watson, David Rawlings, Waylon Jennings, Junior Brown, Stephane Wremble, Tom Waits, Tony Rice and Sam Bush.
Jesse Iaquinto - (Mandolin, Vocals) Originally from the Finger Lakes Region of Upstate New York, songwriter and mandolinist Jesse Iaquinto travelled South, seeking to immerse himself in the rich musical traditions of the Southern Appalachian Mountains. Arriving in Asheville NC, he found himself surrounded by bluegrass and old-time music as well as improvisational rock, funk, and jazz. As a songwriter, he seeks to combine these elements and create a unique blend of American roots music with contemporary components. As a mandolinist he hopes to follow in the footsteps of the many great pickers who came before him.
Matt Dufon - (Bass, Vocals) has been playing music for 18 years beginning with the guitar at age 12 and advancing to the bass at age 15. Matt began playing the upright bass at age 17. Matt has played in a variety of musical groups over the years ranging from gospel to rock and bluegrass. Musically Matt has been influenced by such artists as Peter Rowan, Tony Rice, Jerry Garcia, Willy Nelson, Bela Fleck and Paul Simon, to name a few.
