Winner of the 2012 NEW MUSIC SEMINAR'S "Artist on the Verge" award, Maren Morris is a 24-year-old singer, songwriter, producer and musician, who is a 13-year veteran of the Texas music scene. Morris’ songwriting and music reflect her influences including Country, Folk, Indie and Pop sensibilities. With three self-released albums under her belt which spawned three Texas Music Chart radio hits, including the title track of 2007's "All That It Takes" that went all the way to number one.
After moving to Nashville in January 2013, Morris quickly established herself as a formidable songwriting talent in the area. She signed a publishing deal with a Big Yellow Dog Music shortly thereafter in the late summer of 2013 and has been exploring and enjoying a compelling new world of cowriting.
Maren’s music has garnered international attention leading to tours in England, France and much of the US. She has appeared with or shared the stage with artists Kacey Musgraves, Pat Green, Gary Allan, Marty Stuart, Radney Foster, Bob Schneider, Monte Montgomery, Eli Young and many other talented songwriters and performers.
With exciting things coming in 2014, Morris will be a magnetic songwriting talent to watch.
