Ultragroove is a dub-, electronica-, dubstep- and ambient-producer from germany.
Stylistically he is classified somewhere between dub, minimal chords tech dub, breaks, drum&bass, IDM up to Ambient. He is influenced primarily by Rockers HiFi, The Orb, Lee Perry and Leftfield.
His real name is Falk Schubutz. Ultragroove is producing since 1995 dub- and minimal-break-tracks and is on the decks since 1994 as a drum&bass, jungle, dub and TripHop-DJ.
Among other things, Ultragroove is also producing music and soundeffects for theatre-plays (e.g. ‘Don Quichote’ and ‘Le Petit Prince’) and was employed as a soundengineer at different bands.
Between 2002 and 2006 he had moderated and produced two weekly music-programmes at Radio FRN 99.6 (‘Treibgut’ and ‘e-grooves’).
Since 2006 Ultragroove tries to put his music across to a wider audience and releases regularly new tracks on his websites www.sativa-sounds.com and www.myspace.com/ultragroove.
