On January 11th, 2009, the 3 track rehearsal demo EP In Shadows Unseen was released and Wraith Metal was born. It garnered reviews in several underground metal zines and the band then released their April 20th, 2009 performance in the form of a DVD entitled Wraith Insurrection: Live @ Sound Exchange.
On June 29th 2010, Wraith Horde Assault was released. Featuring 5 tracks captured live from the soundboard at Walter's on Washington here in Houston, TX, this release saw the duo going full throttle with their brand of what is dubbed as wraith metal.
In the summer of 2011, SPECTRAL MANIFEST announced the addition of bassist Ulfr Thorvaldson (ex-EPIC DEATH) to their ranks. Many, many shows followed and intensive writing ensued. In April of 2013, the band signed a 3 year contract with extreme metal powerhouse Ossuary Industries, yet were allowed to release a live split with New Jersey black metal act Immolith entitled Ritual Offerings of Eternal Chaos through the underground coalition, The Dread Lair. This was designed to hold over friends and fans until the studio full length could be completed.
In 2014, the band entered Negative Image Design Studio with Severance guitarist JD De La Rosa handling production duties and in three days recorded what is now the debut self titled album, available through Ossuary Industries.
In 2015, bassist Ulfr Thorvaldson departed the band right after their performance at Las Vegas Deathfest 7. Shortly after, the band announced Jd De La Rosa (guitarist for Severance, producer of the album) as his replacement. In the past year, the band has opened for metal legends Venom Inc. and Voivod and is finishing up the writing and arranging of the as yet untitled followup to their self titled debut.
