Victory Garden is an acoustic band from the Midwest formed in 2005 by Michael Finney on guitar and vocals. During the first few years the band made some home recording demos and booked three self-financed tours around New England and the Midwest. After a few years spent working in a metal band the group came back to acoustic music. The duo made it into the studio earlier in 2012 and just released their rendition of "In the Air Tonight" by Phil Collins. It is currently available as a free download on Facebook and Reverbnation.
2011 saw the band put out their most recent EP, Whats Left Behind. A set of six tracks freshly written to embody the newer sound refined through playing live. The recordings were made in coordination with Mike Regan at The Barn in Valparaiso, Indiana. They feature an expanded sonic palette in comparison to earlier efforts.
The band spent 2010 playing out whenever they could. They have opened for a few national acts such as Saving Abel, Days of the New, and the Trophy Scars. The band also performs in bars, night clubs, colleges and parties where you can hear a wide range of covers from the 60's to current music. In 2009 they released their first EP, Victory Garden, which included 6 tracks recorded on their own.
Victory Garden is currently promoting the record Whats Left Behind which is available through online retailers, such as Amazon, iTunes, and Spotify, with bonus downloads from the first EP.
