Drew Mason has music in his soul. While others were out with other kids, ‘lil Drew was making records his best friends. When he slept his dreams came out in Chorus, verse, chorus, bridge, verse and so on. Drew channeled his dreams into rap music and released two CDs independently prior to moving to California. His 2009 release, “The Paradigm Shift” is a no holds barred release of intense rap and passion. Critic Rex Stone said: “This Houston native could actually become the face of modern day hip-hop! With his energetic rhyme flow and lyrical ability Drew is a force in the game.” His debut music video, for the song “This Music’s in My Soul” premiered on LOGO’s “New Now Next” on November 15, 2009 and was re-aired for the episodes airing the week of December 20th. The video is illustrated in animated comic book fashion and was created by comic book artist Joe Phillips. The video has now spent over six months on VH1's the Click List. Drew Mason has performed at Youth Festivals in the L.A. Flown to New York City to be on a high profile Sirius Radio show (“The Kay Slay Show”)and performed at L.A.’s Barnsdall Gallery Theater as part of the prestigious “Rise Up and Shout” Benefit show. He has been featured in AfterElton.com’s “Best Week Ever” as well as profiled in The Dallas Voice. His CD, “The Paradigm Shift” was considered “one of the Top CD releases of 2009" by the magazine (Dallas Voice). Drew Mason loves performing, writing, and recording music.
