There is a new band on the rise named Zapatito with two young talented men with roots from a country down south that we all know as Mexico. They were born and halfway raised in Nuevo Leon Monterrey Mexico. The reason I say halfway raised is because they spent most of their predominant lives in the great state of Texas. Specifically in Houston Texas, home of well known artist that we know today. If you haven’t heard their music yet you defiantly have to. It resembles the type of genre music like artists such as Secondhand Serenade, Never shout Never, and Boyce Avenue. But instead they have a great twist in their lyrical value because not only are their songs in English but most predominantly in Spanish. Their Music gives you an emotional rush and chill down your spine with stories that will relate to a lot of fans out there. They have accomplished so much musically with only three years experience under their belts since they started in 2009. Their name might give away their Mexican roots, but they are way more than your Spanish lyrics I will tell you that. Their name originated from their first song named “Zapatito Blanco”. Their lead vocalist Rodrigo Zapatito loved the name for its simplicity and catchy tone and the name just stuck. Their lead guitarist and back up vocals Jean Velez is the back bone of the two man group with his unique guitar riffs and solos. He truly captivates the audience and mixes great with the extraordinary voice of Rodrigo, and therefor make an outstanding duo to sit back and listen to.
