Born and raised in Phoenix, AZ..I have been rapping/writing lyrics since I was in 6th or 7th grade. I made the Arizona Republic newspaper as "a Christian rapper" who wrote Christian rap lyrics to secular beats, and performed at Horizon Highschool's See You At the Pole event when I was only 15. But I wasn't "gettin it" yet. I got my first "big break" when, at age 19, I walked in off the street to an Open Mic/ MC Cipher sponsored by Plastik Records, DJ Phlava (of Power 92 FM then), and Interscope Records. Some A&Rs from Interscope were looking for local talent to send to Los Angeles for development. Back then I was battling and freestyling with guys like Atllas, Bilal, Vokab, Drastik, and Kenosis. Atllas is now considered the "King of AZ HipHop" and signed with Rawkus Records, a label I highly respect. I was a regular in the Underground HipHop Scene all over the country..After some soul-searching, and a year+ in Steel City Master's Commission, I resolved to give ALL my talents and skill over to the LORD. I was the only white tenor in the Covenant Christian Center's Mass Choir, who opened up for MaryMary at the Phoenix Convention Center when I was only 20. I've been in Honor Choirs or advanced music programs since I can remember. Music is even in my blood: My mother was in a Christian Rock group called "In His Image" at Lee Bible College, in Clarksville, TN. My father, Timothy J. Black was a world-class trombonist in the 33rd Army Band based in EUSARC, in Germany. He toured Europe as an Army Band musician. I love God with all my heart, and everything I make hopefully leaves no question about that! Thanks for checkin me out...I hope you enjoy the music and give praise to the Creator who gave it to me. Wouldn't want it any other way...PEACE.
