In 2016, after more than a year off, AFN has re emerged stronger than ever. Welcoming back original drummer Peter Breene, and adding shredder Steven Pontius on lead guitar, the band has upped the ante in it's assault on Northwest metal. Currently, this powerful new five piece is writing it's third studio release.
Foreshadowing the release of the forthcoming album, AFN's has released the single, "What Doesn't Kill Me." This hard hitting new track has already gained a lot of attention, including radio airplay on Spokane's KHTQ 94.5 FM.
By late 2016 the band will be releasing the as yet to be titled album, and a music video for WDKM.
AFN’s has long been known for trademark groove oriented hooks and deeply riff driven backbone. This continues today and continues to grow in a greatly expanded sound.
The added layer of Pontius' guitar adds depth and harmony as well as scorching guitar solos.
For now, as the band records, they continue to play select live shows featuring new tracks along with music their 2012 sophomore release, "In Nothing We Trust."
