Some of Cheska's musical inspirations consists of fellow rockers No Doubt's Gwen Stefani and Paramore's Hayley Williams along with newcomer Tonight Alive. “WASHINGTON - The world's largest music festival kicks off this week, and the performers include a local band that's fronted by a 12-year-old girl. Cheska Zaide of Ashburn founded the group called A+ Dropouts, and serves as its lead singer and part-time guitarist. "We play rock, more like Green Day and Paramore. You should listen to us because our original (music) captures different musical tastes," says Zaide. "I think it might be the biggest thing we're going to do for a while. It's really cool," says Zaide. "The way it feels when I'm performing in front of the crowd it's just an amazing feeling," she says. "The adrenaline comes and I get excited. It all started in November 2009 when Cheska Zaide, the lead singer and guitar player from Ashburn, left another band to form a new one. ”
