As part of the 2011 Kirkland Lake Winter Carnival, the newest members of the Canadian Music Hall of Fame headline the Winterfest Pub. April Wine will perform live in the gym at Northern College on Saturday, March 5th with special guest Andrew Cole. The event will follow the $50,000 Carnival Fish Derby earlier that day on Otto Lake at Culver Park. Fish Derby ticket holders are entered into a $5,000 elimination draw from 6-9 pm in the gym then the live music starts at 9 pm. April Wine tickets are $20 and go on sale Friday, January 28th at reception at the complex. Age of majority is required. Fish Derby participants receive free entry into the April Wine pub.
Saturday night brings out all the favorites at the 2010 Grey Cup Molson Canadian Saturday Cabaret featuring Canadian Music Hall of Famer Tom Cochrane and Red Rider, along with blues based rock band Wide Mouth Mason and Andrew Cole – who is described by Tom Cochrane as “a voice that most singers would die for”. Tickets are $39.50.
