Anastasia Rene / Press

“...Anastasia Rene, her voice is phenomenal.”

“The Moonlighters is a new NYC-based jam--groove-provisational quintet. Moving fluidly between powerful Grateful Dead arrangements, cool 60s groove-jazz, smart originals and selected band faves, The Moonlighters features Illuminati Orchestra leader Joe Gallant on bass, nyc session ace Rob Wolfson on guitar/vocals, the legendary Anastasia Rene' on vocals, jam-scene mainstay Scott Guberman on keys/vocals, and the remarkable Alan Lerner on drums.”

“Anastasia Rene to Draw an ‘Ace’ with Gent Treadly and Vince Welnick Grateful Dead keyboardist Vince Welnick and his frequent collaborators, Gent Treadly, will kick-off a string of east coast dates tomorrow at Westbrook, CTs Porters. Later this weekend, Welnick and his friends will also perform in Pittsfield, MA and Salem MA, before Anastasia Rene joins her erstwhile bandmates onstage at New York's Ace of Clubs.”

“Interview prior to Percy Hill tour in 2003...One backup singer is a woman named Anastasia Rene, who is from NYC and is just an amazing singer.”

“Anastasia Rene Joins Gent Treadly - Vocalist Anastasia Rene has become the latest member of New York-based Gent Treadly. Anastasia (Percy Hill, Reid Genauer) first sat in with the group nearly a year ago and has collaborated with the band several times recently. There’s no doubt that Anastasia’s vocal prowess dwarfs the vocal efforts of anyone in this band, says bassist Greg Koerner. The first time she opened her mouth everyone knew she was the real deal. It is such a joy to work with such a gifted musician and wonderful person.’ The band plans to record a new album this summer.”

"Review of Percy Hill Live" ...The songs here are all enhanced by a backing horn section as well as background singers. One of whom, Anastasia Rene, can belt it out with the best of them. She really lets it loose on "Skyline". "Can I get you to rock with me now?" she says before the tune, and that's exactly what she does.

“Review of "Percy Hill Live"...Anastasia Rene’s bad-ass belt-out drives “Skyline.””
