Being born into a musical family in 1988, I naturally started studying music when I was 4. Then I entered a percussion class in 1997 and started teaching myself on the drums in 1998.
After performing with 6 different concert bands and symphony orchestras at a regional/national level, I became the lead percussionist and solo timpanist for the Lyon Symphony Orchestra when I was 16 and kept playing there until I left France in 2014.
I have also played the drums (casually or regularly) for a number of bands in any style including metal, rock, pop, folk, funk, reggae, electro, dubstep, blues, jazz and afro-cuban jazz.
Performances include over 500 live performances (gigs, concerts on big stages, public auditions…) with some outstanding achievements such as the Dogora series, performed on the biggest stages in France with the Lyon Symphony Orchestra and a choir of 400 singers, a complex xylophone solo performed blindfolded (as a surprise dare) in front of 2500 people, a film music concert played everywhere in France and Germany, being one of the 5 drummers selected to perform a solo song at the 2015 Vintage & Custom Drum Expo in Sydney along with internationally recognised drummers (Lucius Borich, Luke Williams, Vish Vadivelu)...
I taught myself on the drums and studied the percussion in 4 different schools:
- The Intercommunal Conservatorium of Roanne (France)
- The National Conservatorium of Lyon (France)
- The National School of Music of Villeurbanne (France)
- McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario (Canada)
I took some professional improvement classes in drums (with specialization in rock and afro-cuban jazz) in 2012 at the Progressive Drum School of Lyon (France).
I am currently based on the Gold Coast, where I’m focusing on the development of a new career as a drummer, performing with various artists (Lecia Louise, Nikolaine Martin, Jennifer Sjaan...).
I’m looking for some professional artists or bands to play with while working on my personal projects (composition, street drumming…).
I occasionally return to France/Europe for some tours and drum camps and play as a guest with the Lyon Symphony Orchestra and other bands/orchestras whenever I can.
My main goal is to keep sharing my passion for music, the percussion and the drums as long as I can and everywhere I go.
