It's taken a while but EMPRA (featuring Sanny from The SUNS and Boredphucks) is finally coming to Singapore to perform a special one-off album launch show on Singapore's National Day Fri 9 Aug at Hood Bar with punk rock heroes Plain Sunset and AmTerrible (featuring Justin from The SUNS and Boredphucks) and guitar God Simon Yong who is fresh of the release of his debut album. What a KICK ASS lineup! Pre-sale tickets are available at $17 or it's $20 at the door. You will receive a Free copy of the album and a live EP at the door. EMPRA's debut album which was launched in Australia last May has since generated 4 singles and widespread critical acclaim in Australia. It was recorded as a tribute to Sanny's best friend Wayne Thunder (RIP). More info on EMPRA: Driven by the rock’n'roll spirit, EMPRA are riding a wave of buzz across Australia and the world. After completing a massive 24 date Australian tour and a successful stint in LA where they were crowned the winners of the Live Nation International Band Competition. Their debut self titled album released in May 2012 has since spawned four singles which hit high rotation on Triple M’s Radar Rock, Radar Music & 23 community radio shows Australia wide. The album also featured three time Grammy award winner Gotye whose soaring keyboards can be heard on the epic ballad “Sabrina”. The band’s self-titled album was inspired by a chain of events including broken hearts, broken bones, friends loved and lost and a botched album recording on the first try! EMPRA have an unapologetically high-energy rock sound and a louder is better attitude. Meld this with raw, honest lyrics that manage to electrocute hearts and supercharge spirits into euphoric sing-a-longs, and you have EMPRA’s unmistakable sound and captivating live show.
