When Jane Badler and Adam Rudegeair met backstage at one of her shows at the Continental about a decade ago, he knew, due to her savvy choice of Prince cover, that they were destined to work together. Now, the twisted cabaret queen will be performing out-of-nowhere covers and originals pulled straight from the muck of Billie Holiday's liver. With arrangements by Adam Rudegeair. Florelie Escano has been gigging all over the place and now she is finally ready to launch her very first 7 inch vinyl. It has been quite a journey from a simple melodic idea to a full band recording with strings and horn section, then finally etched onto black wax.
Funk and jazz are Adam Rudegeair's bag, and his quartet will be serving up both in spades on September 29th. Hard at work on a new recording project with hip hop legend Wayne Lotek (Speech Debelle, Roots Manuva) producing, Adam will be premiering brand new material, plus classics from his back catalogue such as 'Argyle Girl', 'Mr Majesty', and 'Deja Voodoo'. Adam wil be rocking the keys and vocals, aided and abetted by Justin Ashworth (bass), David Gooey (guitar), and special guest Sam Hirschfelder (drums). 10pm start
