Here is the entire story behind this event from their event page: On April 3, 2012 Christopher, the 18 year old son of our friend and co-worker, Kim was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in his jaw bone following a routine trip to the dentist. Several days later additional tests would reveal even more devastating news it was in his lungs as well. Since that time Christopher has had surgery and undergone two rounds of treatment, attempting to shrink the tumors in his lungs. Kim’s family, friends and co-workers have rallied around her and her family to provide her with whatever assistance they can, though the scope of her families’ financial circumstances seems to be outweighing their efforts. That’s when Christopher’s Angels was formed. We are friends and co-workers of Kim’s with one goal; to bring the Long Island community together in hopes of bringing awareness to Christopher’s situation through events and fund raisers designed to help ease their families’ financial burden. This is where you come in! Christopher’s Angels is hosting our first event, “A Night Out For Christopher” at The Boardy Barn, in Hampton Bays, NY to help raise money for Christopher and his family. Won’t you please join us….and hey, bring some friends!!! We will be having live entertainment, food, a Chinese auction, 50/50, some serious raffle prizes and plenty of beer!! All donations and proceeds from our event will go directly to Christopher and his family. For ticket information please email us at: firstname.lastname@example.org or contact Brenda @ 917-225-0374. Tickets at $20 in advance and $40 at the door. If you are unable to attend this event but would like to make a donation to support Christopher and his family, please visit the Christopher’s Angels donor page at: www.everribbon.com/ribbon/view/8622 We hope to see you there!! ~Christopher’s Angels. "Their influences range from Less Than Jake to fellow Islanders, Envy on the Coast. That should be enough to get you interested. They are a much more polished band now, and this Bamboozle performance should give some insight into Long Island’s reggae rock scene."
