Calamity Janes / Press

".... Calamity Janes offer up honey-sweet sounds via gorgeous harmonies. Calling Waxahachie home, such a group-vocal gift simply isn't heard much around this part of the state in the clubs very often...."

"... their EP captures the energy, displays their songwriting, and gives us the defining characteristics that make them stand out. A toe-tapping, old school flavored country sound spews at us from the get go ...":

““I first heard about them from the sister of a friend of mine from high school days, Chuck Adkins, class of ’69. His little sister, Shannon emailed me and asked if I could find a place for three girls backed by an acoustic band to play. So not having heard them I put them in as the opening act of the jam,” said WAXAJAM co-founder Sam Taylor Taylor asked them to join in the Thursday evening broadcast to hear what they sounded like. “These guys are really good,” Taylor said. ”

"In the past there have been a couple of solo performers and small groups in the radio studio for the weekly show, but I’ve never see or heard anything like these guys."
