“Detroit has always been a rock and roll city and rising rock band, Black Feather, are intent on keeping that tradition alive. The three-piece band continuously are improving on their live shows where they present a set of diverse songs that always put forth a positive message. The show was backed by 89x and was built around the idea of having all local bands with local vendors selling their cool goods. Certainly the show was a success with those in attendance having nothing but praise afterwards from calling the performance "epic" to expressing a desire to see them hit the stage again soon.”
“Black Feather is a local band that is based out of Detroit Michigan that will give you a rocking good time. First started in 2010 with founding members Marc Vargas and Kyle Mikolajczyk, it has morphed into the high energy band of today. Currently the band members are in the studio recording their tracks for their upcoming CD. The CD should be out in the spring of 2015. (When rockatnight.com gets word of it release, we will pass it on.) When it comes out, it should be a great rock’n CD that should make you proud of being in the “D”.”
““I do not have your standard 9-to-5 job; this is how I make my living. Therefore, it is always for a number of reasons my first priority.””
“Black Feather is a local alternative rock. They have a long musical history and strong musicianship. They focus on acoustic covers, but have added "going electric" as they've talked about for awhile. Many have asked, "Why Black Feather?" According to the legend, when someone finds a black feather, it means that the guardian of their soul is near them. The Feather is supposed to remind the individual that he or she is not fighting the battles of this life alone. This is going to be a bit unconventional, much like Black Feather's bassist, Kyle Mikolajczyk. Black Feather is playing a full on rap show, see the flyer below. It reminds me of the powerhouse shows from the 60's, when you could see a rock act, r&b act, and a country act, in one night at the same venue. Detroit could use some community. Could this be the beginning of building a stronger Detroit. Come out and see.”
