The cream of Nashville: Sarah Gayle Meech, Mark Robinson Band, Jon Byrd & Thomm Jutz (with whom Phil spent five years on the road working for Nanci Griffith), Tim Carroll, "Magnet & Steel" & "Hearts On Fire" Walter Egan, Buddy Woodward and Dave Gleason with their new band The Desert Breed, Tiffany Huggins Grant, and Peter Cooper & Eric Brace - and who knows who might stop in! They all gather to help the Road Mangler AND have a great party (the 8th annual Gram Parsons InterNational), the way Gram would have wanted it! And yes, Phil will be there (he is confirmed), as he was both nights last year.
Gram InterNational is partnering with B&B Musical Thrills to present our first GPI WEST 2015 at the historic Don the Beachcomber at Sunset Beach, CA. Don's various levels of seating or standing or dancing take you back to the days when David Niven and Marlene Deitrich frequented this historic venue. With linen-covered, candlelit tables, a dance floor (you'll want it with these bands!), and tons of room for all, we intend to rock the bamboo off the walls as we experience the impact of the Bakersfield Sound on the formation of Cosmic American Music, or simply country rock, led by Gram Parsons. We are so excited to have so many great CA bands on board already, it's going to be quite an evening on the beach. We figure, if Gram's now in Paradise, well, we can at least go Freaky for Tiki!
Gram Parsons InterNational is thrilled to announce that the Linsmore Tavern will host Gram Parsons InterNational North 2015, Friday, Sept 11, its fourth year in Toronto. This one-night festival fronts some of the city's and region's best Gram-inspired bands, including: Aimie Page Duo; GT Harris & the Gunslingers; Lucky Mike; Jacques & the Valdanes; The Ole Fashion w/ Darcy Windover; Dick Rodan, Ayerhart Roofing Co, and Big Otter Creek (fest situation, bands subject to change). The Gram Parsons InterNational multi-city tour backs up the Petition to Induct Gram Parsons into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Tkts: $10 (advance, tkt page to come at http://www.linsmoretavern.com/); $15 at the door (still a steal for these eight bands!).
More to come.

"I feel qualified to say how together and slick The Gram InterNational Fest was. Every act, all very professional I might add, started and stopped seamlessly, all beginning and ending on time, quickly and efficiently sound checked, and supportive of each other. And why was this all so smooth you ask? Well the answer is Will James. If you've never promoted or organized an event you have no idea what I'm talking about. If you have then you should be in awe of how well things ran since you should know first hand that they usually don't go off like this event did without a dozen train wrecks. I've been on both sides of the fence as I performed at dozens of these festivals and this one was right up there with the best of them. I was incredibly proud to be a part of it." -- Tokyo Rosenthal, The Tokyo Rosenthal Radio Show Host and Musician, November 2014
