Second annual Praise in the Park even bigger and better this year By: Ashley Biviano, Managing Editor Published: July 18th, 2013 BAINBRIDGE – The second annual Praise in the Park Christian Music Festival is slated to begin at 11:00 .am., July at the General Clinton Park, Route 7, Bainbridge. According to Pastor Gary Kubitz of the Afton United Methodist Church and First United Methodist Church of Bainbridge, last year’s event was small - with some local Christian bands and a few vendors.
More than 5,000 people are expected to converge on Victory Fellowship in Metairie July 4 for the church's 24th annual Feed the Multitudes. "There are so many people who have needs, and Feed the Multitudes is a way for Victory Fellowship to show the love of Christ to the community," said the Rev. Byron Bishop, one of the church's ministers. "On that day, we can be his hands and serve the community." Victory Fellowship in Metairie celebrates July 4 with its 25th annual Feed the Multitudes in 2014. This year's event is expected to bring in 5,000 guests. This year's event will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the church, which is located at 5708 Airline Drive. Free food will be served, including jambalaya, hot dogs, barbecue chicken, desserts, sno-balls and watermelons. Other activities will include inflatables and face painting for the children. Various music groups, including PC and Corey Hicks, will perform throughout the day. Free haircuts and manicures will be provided, and at least 500 pairs of new shoes will be given away.
We will be going into the detention Center and sharing the Gospel of Christ with these youth!
Three Crosses Bare plays at 9:30 at the First United Methodist Church located at 56 Chapel St. in Winsor, NY. This is an alcohol free family event, with free parking and free shuttle service from and to the windsor high scool parking lot. With over 14 venues ranging from different genre's of music. The ZOO Mobile, kids carnival, with hot food and drinks through out the village!
