3 Son Green / Press

“ Following the encore "Circus," Sound Tribe called it a night around 12:30 a.m. There was an official after-party at the Granada, but for a lot less money and a smaller crowd, some folks took the party to the Jazzhaus, where 3 Son Green was getting into their second set. 3 Son Green has been growing into a reliable source of funky good times in Lawrence. “Saturday night promised to be full of excitement when a crowd of eager fans was gathered for the opener, 3 Son Green at the Bottleneck. The young band of four played with talent beyond their years, some still appeared to have X's on their hands, filling the venue with a strong jam of funky, jazzy tunes that got the dance floor shaking. Playing cover songs as well as their own music, 3 Son Green started the night off right, and impressed audience members who came with high expectations for the veterans of Dirtfoot and Mountain Sprout. It's ridiculous that 3 bands of such great talent can play at a venue like the Bottleneck for just $7. Only in a musical paradise like Lawrence. The concert went from a regular show to a wild party in no time flat, and once people started to get down, they could not stop.”
