Stop by the First Local Flavor Fare slated in Rockport to see me perform from 3:30 to 4:00 PM Saturday, Aug. 1, 2015 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Location: Rockport Marketplace, Route 1, Rockport, Maine For more information: 800-762-8895 ROCKPORT, Maine — Bluegrass band Miners Creek and the Tom Luther Quartet will headline the first Local Flavor Fare 2-6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, at Rockport Marketplace on Route 1. The Flavor Fare will highlight some of midcoast Maine’s best food, drink and music and will include five local music acts, wine and beer tastings, a pig roast, local artists, artisan foods and a farmers market. The music lineup will include piano and fiddle duet Audrey and Clayton, 2-2:30 p.m.; singer-songwriter Andre Lascoutx, 2:45-3:15 p.m.; country singer David Scott Norton, 3:30-4 p.m.; Miners Creek Bluegrass Band, 4:15-5 p.m.; and the Tom Luther Quartet, 5:15-6 p.m. Locally produced wines and beers will be available for tasting and purchase. There will be a small fee to enter the wine and beer tasting area and identification will be required. Music is free and open to everyone. Maine Street Meats will roast a pig and offer pork sandwiches. Local food producers will offer cheeses, jellies, mustards and Dilly Dally Farm will provide fresh produce. Jewelry makers, local artists and print makers will be on hand. The bands will be selling autographed CDs, T-shirts and more. Parking is available at Crestwood Kitchens and behind Rockport Marketplace building, where State of Maine Cheese Co. is located.
