These songs are part of an experiment, which was to try to write and record a 10-track album in a week. As they were done so quickly (sometimes 2 complete start-to-finish songs in 1 day), some have the odd rough edge to them!
I don't think they are all brilliant (though they are still better than anything by Franz Fucktard and the Arselick Monkeys!), but they at least had to be decent enough songs to make the cut.
The style is INDIE POP.
I started the project on 14 Aug 2007 and finished it on the 22nd, so I made it in 9 days.
The so-called album is hence called "Suddenly".
To record, I used an acoustic guitar, my voice and my keyboard all recorded lo-fi through my PC microphone then mixed with the Acid Music program.
The name 'Zouch' was taken from the small English town of Ashby-de-la-Zouch and is pronounced like 'Zoosh'. It actually originates from a French family name who took control of Ashby long ago.
***Instructions for playing the songs***
You need to allow pop-ups for this site so it can launch the player. If you use Firefox, go to Options>Content>Pop ups and type in www.reverbnation.com and click Allow.
Then select a song by clicking its Play icon. It should send it to the player list on the right. Then click the song there and the player will pop up and play the song(s).
If you use Internet Explorer, it really is time you changed to Firefox! ;)
