"At age 9 I picked up a guitar and this music is a reflection of my entire musical journey. From sitting in a room listening to Stevie Ray and Jimmy Vaughan play, to my dad taking me to hear the blues, to sitting in an all black church with Loretta Lynn's bass singer, singing at Tammy Wynette and Carl Perkins's memorials, playing guitar on stage with U2 and watching my other favorite rockers from the side of the stage, ballroom dancing with my grandpa, to opening for the many legends of country music. These songs are the reflection of the many different styles of music that I have come to love and want the next generation to hear. It is my time to pay homage to these great musical heroes, this album is a tribute to these icons who should not and cannot be forgotten."
