“Metal used to be all about having a deep, heavy groove. Wolf Snake Sun hark back to the bluesy metal years of the 1970’s. Singer Robert Lindemann has a Glen Danzig-like metal baritone that is punctuated by haunted howls. At times, he sounds like a man being assaulted, which works with the darkness of the music. A fun factor in the lyrics lights things up a bit. “Zombie Girl from Outer Space” and “Dressed in Blood” are campy but sung with seriousness. They can also rip some psychedelic guitar solos.”
