Wipedoubt was formed out of a common love and passion for anything and everything musical by members Joel Smith and Al Mosis in early-2007.

...After an absence from making music for some time, Joel and Al Began jamming again. On 18/6/08 Joel called Al to let him know that in 3 days time there would be a gig, and they had barely rehearsed at all. In short they recruited a drummer: Louise Pomroy, and rehearsed their butts off for 3 days.

...In that time they somehow made a made a 6-track demo CD (Which is pretty crazy and cool mind you).

The gig fell through and they decided that it was a sign to continue after what they'd achieved in 3 days... Wipedoubt now have 3 members, an ever-growing list of songs, a burning vitality and a desire to be heard, so keep your ears to the ground and stay tuned... Wipedoubt is on the march!

The birth of the 'Everything and After' EP on 14/08/08 was another result of their hard work, in which the band members undertook responsibility for every part of the process from the first note recorded to the last cover hand-screenprinted before they reach your hands.

Wipedoubt lack that wonderfully cold, mechanically-doctored sound they find permeates into music all around them. They are proud of creating each song as its own individual, living, breathing entity and invite anyone with a curiosity for anything musical to come along to a show and see what the fuss is all about!

RECENT NEWS: Wipedoubt have continued rehearsing and recording as much as possible, resulting in a large string of gigs (at venues such as QUT Guild Bar, UQ Red Room and Ric’s) to see out 2008 with an almighty bang and set up 2009 for a MASSIVE one!
