About

Thanks to my aunts and the Spills family from Raymore, Missouri, I've been around music my whole life. I was very fortunate to grow up next to a family where the father made and played fiddles. The oldest sister played fiddle and guitar. The younger sister played banjo. My best bud played guitar, banjo and anything else he could get his hands on. That left me to pick up a bass and keyboards. I remember this old man used to show up at some friends of the Spills that lived off of Blue Ridge Blvd. He would usually come through during the Summer. His bus would pull up and I would go with the Spills and we would all play into the wee hour. At the time I had really no idea how significant that man was. It was none other than the father of bluegrass, Bill Monroe. Why am I talking about Bluegrass? Simple. Even though I love instrumental rock guitar and I primarily play alternative rock, you can still hear some underpinning of some root music. I've got  strong funk, blues and bluegrass DNA. I hope you take a second to check out a little and please let me know what you love, what you like, what you hate. Peace.
