Bio: Whiskey Project is an evolving musical collaboration by Damian David, Eli McNett, Mike Drindak and E. Eric Winders. You can call it rock, country, blues rock, roots rock, americana, alternative or anything else you'd like, but they don't really care. Genre is a fence they'd just as soon kick do...See Full Bio
“It's a hot, muggy day as I round the corner to the first interview I've had at a musician's apartment. I'm used to hotel lobbies, studios, rehearsal spots, the occasional bar or 'safe' public location, but I've never been invited to someone's actual place of residence. I don't know what to expect. This isn't a street lined with large houses, it's a typical Boston area neighborhood where it looks as though just as many college kids live as families do. I'm met on the porch by the huge smile of the front man for Whiskey Project. There is no vast collection of guitars or equipment or pictures with other musicians. Damian David is a welcoming down-to-earth father of one, and I know this because he introduces me to what appears to be a newborn, that he calls J.D.. J.D. is sleeping in Damian's arms and the proud dad is beaming. I immediately realize that this man is not trying to impress me or to cut quickly to self-promotion efforts. If I didn't check myself, I'd fool myself into thinking”

Q: There are 3 guys in your photo, but 4 listed as members. What's up with that?
A: [This came in from Texas via email] We changed our recipe for the second and future batches of Whiskey Project music. E. Eric Winders is also a childhood friend of ours that we have all collaborated with in the past. He's a great fit to our music and our brotherhood. He doesn't eat meat, and strives to be amazingly responsible when it comes to impact on our environment and bodies. This guys is the Yin in a pool of Yang. Musically, he makes us learn more about the history of bluegrass music and emerging styles. There are no photos that include him yet, because he is too skinny and makes us look like a hockey team that would be used in Ice Hockey for the NES (circa 1988). Although that is true, it is not the reason there aren't any promo photos with him in it, we are working on that, so stay tuned, we'll figure out the logistics soon. We are spread out across the U.S., Mike and Eli live in NY, Damian lives in Nebraska, and Eric lives in California. Everytime we are together, we are playing music, recording, and dabbling in Whiskey, so the photos have been lacking, but they are coming soon, we promise.
