When Machines Dream was founded in the late 90’s by John Mendenhall. An Obsession with the sounds of analog synthesizers and drum machines, coupled with a lifelong interest in science fiction formed the basis of his vision for the new project. In this vision, the lines between the virtual and the tactile smear together – a synthesis of man & self-actualized machines in a pixilated, dystopian future.
