The An Sibin Pub is located at the southeast corner of Queen and Broadview in Riverdale district of Toronto. Situated at the former site of The Real Jerk Restaurant, An Sibín Pub brings a touch of Ireland to The Riverside. Affectionately known to neighbours as “The Shebeen” opened its doors on August 31st, 2012, with a brand new high-end interior, Gastro-Irish Pub Fare, an exciting Beer & Music line-up and the warm, true-to-heart hospitality the Irish are well known for. Owners Rick Auiler and Scott Brockington offer a combined 15-year history of successful Irish destinations in Toronto, including St. James’ Gate, The Irish Embassy, PJ O’Brien’s and Quinn’s Steakhouse & Irish Bar. The name, pronounced “Ahn-She-Been,” means an illegal, ilicit drinking establishment and/or shady bar and refers to Ireland’s historic after-hours speakeasies. But don’t let the name fool you, this is a very family friendly establishment. You will often find young families enjoying an early dinner, a weekend brunch, and a Live Irish Session. Live Ceol (Gaelic for Music) will be played Every Thursday Night at 8pm, and on Friday Night & Saturday Nights starting at around 10pm. To finish off the week of Music a Live Irish Session will take place from 4:30-8pm every Sunday. An Sibín’s motto, “Irish & Craft Beer Live Here,” tells guests all they need to know. 20 Draft Taps featuring Irish favourites Guinness, Kilkenny, Harp and Smithwick’s are accompanied by some of Canada’s finest microbrews from Mill St. Brewery, Amsterdam Brewery, Steam Whistle, Flying Monkeys, Wellington, King Brewery, Cameron’s, and Okanagan Springs to name a few.
The WheelHouse Dave and Gary duo will play all of your favorite classic cover songs and Irish traditionals.
