Wes Sayer has been playing music since the age of 6. He began playing professionally at the age of 15, needing the guardianship of his parents to be permitted to play in some of the more demanding and professional venues.
He has toured the east coast from his birth state of West Virginia, to South Florida, and as far west as Austin Texas.
Wes Sayer's talents and experience include the music styles of Rock, Pop,Alternative, Country, Blues, and Jazz.. He is fluent on both the acoustic and electric guitars. ( 6 String, 12 String, & Slide) He is available for session work , live or in the studio.
As an accomplished musician, Wes has shared the stage with notable acts such as: Steve Miller Band, Edwin McCain, Angie Apparo, Sister Hazel, Craven Melon, Mike Corrado Band, Runaway Cab, Weekend Excursion(Sam Fisher), The Blue Dogs, Jump Little Children & more.
The wide range and variety of Sayer's original music include Rock/Alternative Rock, Acoustic Rock, Country, Blues, and even a little Jazz . As a solo act, he is definitely entertaining and a crowd pleaser with a unique style all his own.
Wes Sayer has played in numerous bands such as Catching Red ( w/ Mike Gangi), Melvin & Sayer, Sole Reaction, The Return, and presently with the Daniel Parish Band. Sayer has also filled in for acts including: Jason Marks, Sai Collins, Jeremy Norris and many other acoustic performers.
As an original member of the band Catching Red, Wes was co-founder of the M.I.N.N. Fest ( Music is not Noise ) in Wilmington N.C.
As part of these bands, Wes has recorded and produced, or has been featured on many cd's such as:" The Return"- A self titled full length disc of Wes' last original band with drummer Jeff Landen formerly of Sidewinder. " Wes Sayer/If I Could Go Back"- Sayer's 2005 solo effort. , " Wes Sayer" Wes' very first solo cd. Wes is also one of the featured artists on "Daniel Parish/Too Much" . Wes will also be featured on the 2009 Chill Out compilation(Quickstar Productions) highlighting many of the east coasts finest acoustic players and songwriters.
